A great year for v6, and our customers!

… from v6’s blog >>

It’s been a great time for v6 this year. We have made more progress than was forecasted on moving our customers to our Cloud Computing platform, almost all are now hosted from it and enjoying increased resilience, uptime and performance, as well as better visibility on spend and resource use.

We have a little way to go yet, but should have all migrations complete early in the New Year and then start to advise on how customers can take advantage of these new benefits.

What else did we do? Well, we rebranded. A fresh new look for our fresh new platform. We put our Social Media strategy into place, and have seen a 3000% increase in traffic to our site, as well as better engagement and communication to and from customers. We are linked to Facebook, LinkedIn and of course Twitter, all aggregated into one tool, giving our guys and gals perfect control.

We also engaged the services of a PR agency, and are working out the finer details with a view to starting work with them in the new year.

And of course, together with our DCO (Datacentre Ops) guys, we are continuing to look into new services that can be offered from the cloud that have a compelling business message.

Look out for extensions to our Hosted Apps Service in 2011. We are adding a Managed eStore Service to be offered from the Cloud on a SaaS (Software as a Service) basis, and are looking at increasing our Enterprise Desktop offering.

All in all, I am very proud of the entire team, we have continued to work well across our distributed offices, have supported our customers very well (we know, because they have told us!) and enjoy some great partnerships with Max at Milkbar Creative, Peter, our freelance web developer, Madonna at ACIC and others.

So, to Jan, Jana, Milan, Peter, Max, a public THANK YOU to you all; and to our customers, a THANK YOU too for choosing v6, we look forward to serving you n 2011.

On behalf of all of us at v6, we wish you a very Merry Christmas, or simply Seasons Greetings, if Christmas is not your festival of choice, and a very Happy New Year.

Kenny,
